Is Deforestation Worth it?
What is the relation between forest and people? The relationship between forest and man was from the evolution of man on this earth. Unlike other species of the earth, our ancestor also spent all time in the forest. Along with the time, people’s consciousness is also developed, so they left the forest and start to live in a community. Do people think about conserve forest? How Deforestation Effects on Environment? The 21st century is an era of Civilization on technology, that causes the destruction of Natural resources. Deforestation is one of the major natural destruction due to civilization. People depend on forests for hunting and other forest products including food, wood, medicine, fresh water, and the air. Can people ignore these facts how much they depend on the forest? What are the causes of Deforestation? what is the effect of deforestation on global warming? People start cutting down trees from many years ago to make the shelter for them and agriculture, but rapid deforestation is undergoing nowadays. People are cutting down the trees and the shrubs on a massive scale for development other infrastructure. As we know development and destruction occur simultaneously. If development begin = destruction happens with natural resources and if no development = no destruction. How much forest is lost every year? Is there any way to minimize or stop deforestation? According to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) secretariat, the overwhelming direct cause of deforestation is agriculture. More than "18 million" acres forest is destructing every year. "Farming is responsible for 48% of deforestation; commercial agriculture is responsible for 32% of deforestation; logging is responsible for 14% of deforestation and fuel wood removals 5% of deforestation" (Livescience.com).

How does Deforestation affect the animals? The forest is one of the habitats for most of the species of biodiversity, including plants, animals, bacteria, and fungi. Most of these spices spent all life cycle in the forest. We all know Oxygen is necessary to breathe for every living species the major sources of Oxygen are plants. Plants take carbon dioxide and expel oxygen while photosynthesis occurs. According to the ecological pyramid, all species depend on each other like a chain for example Insect depends on plants, snake depends on insects, eagle depends on the snake when eagle died bacteria decomposed eagle then plant get nutrients from the Earth. If people cut down trees on a massive scale most of the species can disappear. Deforestation also causes unbalance on "food web" and "food chain" then the whole Ecosystem is disrupted. What happens if Ecosystem is disrupted? Does it affect people directly?

Is deforestation causes soil erosion? What are the ways to stop it? Soil erosion is also another major cause of deforestation. Soil erosion happens naturally all over the land by a slow process, if we plant big trees, one side of the land the roots hold the soil tightly then we can stop erosion. If people cut down all trees, the soil particles become detached, so heavy rain, the wind, and rivers can cause landslides and flooding then fertile land changes into the desert. The WWF states that scientists estimate that a third of the world's arable land has been lost to deforestation since 1960. (Livesience.com).
