How Plants keep the water cycle on balance? What is the effect of deforestation on the water cycle? What causes the green gas level increase in the atmosphere? The water cycle is a very vast system that keeps the Earth's water in a state of continuous circulation. Trees and forested areas play an important role in the water cycle and evaporation rates. At the time of rainfall trees and plants absorb water from earth surface to earth inside through their roots. The loss of forested areas may have extremely affect on how the water cycle transfers water between the ground and atmosphere. Trees not only play an important role in maintaining water quality, but they also pass moisture from the soil back to the atmosphere through a process known as transpiration. Plants have also an extreme capacity to control transpiration rate. We know that trees and forested areas prevent water source from direct sunlight. It helps the environment to keep wet on the dry season too. Deforestation results in faster soil erosion and can result in the major disturbance in the runoff local streams and rivers. We know that plants use sunlight and carbon dioxide on photosynthesis. As we know that the amount of carbon dioxide is in the third position in the Atmosphere, after Nitrogen and Oxygen. This Carbon dioxide came from Factories, Vehicle, and all living being while respiration. Deforestation increases the level of green gas on the environment that plays a vital role to increase earth's temperature. The increase of temperature on Earth's surface called causes snowfall on higher mountains and the north pole of the earth.
Forests are the habitat of millions of species, they protect soil from erosion, produce oxygen, store carbon dioxide, and help control climate. Forests provide us food, shelter, and medicines as well as many other useful things. They also purify the air we breathe and water that we need to survive. Forests play a huge role in the carbon cycle on our planet. When people cut down forests there is nothing to absorb atmospheric carbon dioxide. Deforestation is an important factor in global climate change. Climate change is because of increase of carbon dioxide in out atmosphere. More than 1.5 billion tons of carbon dioxide are released into the atmosphere due to deforestation, mainly the cutting and burning of forests, every year. Deforestation causes lots of serious problems. So we need to find the possible solution to stop it. Some people and some Organisation trying to convince people to stop deforestation. Does it effective? Can reforestation is the way to control to massive cut down of forest? Do Conservational area, National park, and Wildlife reserve are the effective solution to stop deforestation? What is the other possible solution to stop deforestation?
This second blog concentrates in the important role trees and other plants play in the water cycle. Expanding on the issue it touches in environment problems that with the years is going to become a bigger issue that all people must face with. Indeed, deforestation is a big factor into the water cycle, however I would consider providing a number or percentage that support who much of a role they play in the water cycle. Having a more exact knowledge of the importance can support and make the point even stranger.

ReplyDeleteI think that you are doing a good job with your topic, Taking care of the environment is something that we should truly do. You did a nice job by including the cause and effect of the water cycle. I agree with the fact that deforestation causes issues on the environment. I see that you imply various questions throughout your blog which is great. A question that you may include is, What are the advantages or disadvantages of deforestation? I found interesting how you explained all of the water cycle, and explained each one. Now if deforestation is really worth, then you should truly add more persuasive information to let know your point.
